The adventurer Bulldog Drummond (Ralph Richardson) leads a secret society called The Black Clan which exposes Brits working with foreign organizations that attempt to pull England into international entanglements. Based on the novel THE BLACK GANG by H.C. McNeile and directed by Walter Summers. I found the narrative vaguely confusing. I'm still not sure what the specifics of the bad guys were other than they were working against England but what exactly were they trying to do? That aside, it was amusing to watch Ralph Richardson (along with Olivier and Gielgud, one of England's premier Shakespearean actors) as an action hero, getting into fist fights, jumping out of windows, plunging into rivers and shooting guns. This was the fourth Bulldog Drummond movie and more than twenty more followed. With Ann Todd, Francis L. Sullivan, Claud Allister and Joyce Kennedy.
