A cavalier playboy (George Maharis) is in desperate need of money so he goes to his wealthy brother (Charles Macaulay) to borrow money. When the brother berates him for his wastrel ways, he loses his temper and kills his brother. His brother's housekeeper (Eileen Brennan) takes advantage of the situation and an unusual form of blackmail enters the picture. Directed by actor turned director Burt Brinckerhoff. Made for television, this is a very nice cat and mouse mystery with a neat if bleak little twist of an ending. It plays out like an above average episode of an ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS with a strong performance by Eileen Brennan as the love smitten housekeeper who blackmails the playboy into being her lover. With Kathryn Leigh Scott, Alan Napier and Philip Sterling.
