Raiders From Beneath The Sea (1964)

A down on his luck apartment manager (Ken Scott) hatches a plan to rob a Catalina Island bank and escape with his accomplices using scuba gear. Directed by Maury Dexter (THE DAY MARS INVADED THE EARTH). Uber low budget B heist movie with no style or atmosphere and lousy acting. The unpleasant robbers are so amateurish in their planning of the bank robbery that anyone with half a brain can see their plan is bound to fail. Of mild interest is Floyd Crosby's (HIGH NOON) B&W lensing of the Catalina Island locations. The film contains one of the absolute worst film scores I've ever heard, courtesy of Hank Levine!  With Merry Anders, Russ Bender, Booth Colman and Garth Benton.
