Queen Of Outer Space (1958)

Four astronauts (Eric Fleming, Dave Willock, Patrick Waltz, Paul Birch) make a forced landing on the planet of Venus which is dominated by a wicked Queen (Laurie Mitchell) and her all female civilization. Directed by Edward Bernds (WORLD WITHOUT END) from a screenplay by Charles Beaumont (7 FACES OF DR. LAO). This one has to be seen to be believed. Absolutely dumbfounding in its tackiness and execution. The masked Queen hates all men and judging from the appalling sexist comments of the astronauts, who can blame her? They aren't exactly the greatest specimens of the male. The star is Zsa Zsa Gabor as a scientist and one of the many delights of the film is Zsa Zsa running through the stagebound forests of Venus in chiffon and high heels with a space ray gun! Her reaction to the giant rubber spider is also priceless. Yes, it's entertaining on that level. With Joi Lansing and Barbara Darrow.
