Passengers (2008)

A therapist (Anne Hathaway) is helping a group of plane crash survivors deal with their trauma and grief. But when the survivors slowly start disappearing and she is mysteriously followed and watched, she begins to suspect a cover up on the part of the airlines. Directed by Rodrigo Garcia (ALBERT NOBBS), this thriller may not be much on originality, if you've seen any amount of TWILIGHT ZONE episodes you're bound to figure the "twist" ending which is derivative. But it's not the destination but the journey there and here Garcia and his actors do a fine job of keeping us on the edge of our seat and the actors bring an intensity to their work that gives the film's payoff a believable curtain. The film slipped under the radar when it opened in a meager 125 theaters and it has yet to find an audience. Not to be confused with the hideous 2016 film of the same name. With Patrick Wilson, Dianne Wiest, Andre Braugher and David Morse.
